The Federalsburg Historical Society is a non-profit community based organization dedicated to preserving and presenting to the public the history of the people, places and events of the Town of Federalsburg on the Eastern Shore Maryland.  We strive to promote and celebrate our unique heritage through historical research, education, and events.  Our museum is located at 100 Covey-Williams Alley, behind the old theater which is now the Town Office.

About Us

The Federalsburg Historical Society was formed on February 21, 2002 with a gathering of twenty local residents. Our mission was to collect and preserve both written and unpublished history of the town.
Many residents have donated memorabilia from their past. Memories of older residents have been recorded and received, reliving
the businesses, industries and social life of their time. The history of Federalsburg and its surrounding will beome more than a memory - it will come alive through observation along with education.
